Bringing The Outdoors Indoors

Sometimes it can be really hard to get out of bed and be motivated to work on our mental health. It can be hard to see influencers going on hikes and eating an all-berry diet but there are much simpler ways to improve your ways of living. If it is an all-day-in-bed day, try opening the window to get fresh air and feel less trapped.

Going for short walks can also help everyone with their mental health because it reduces stress and improves self-esteem. Recently, my mind has been feeling quite clouded lately and I decided to go for a walk because I heard that clear skies could help me clear my mind and, surprisingly, they did. Maybe at first go on a walk with a friend or family member but eventually try to walk by yourself because it’s so important to be comfortable with ourselves. Use the time to think, or listen to music but, either way, it will benefit you and it’s the first step towards good mental health!

Another way to incorporate the outdoors without actually having to go outside could be buying plants for your living space. Plants will give you an activity to do as they need to maintained by water them etc. Being around plants also helps reduce anxiety and stress!
