What are they?

As part of the campaign our FundaMentals team go out to schools, colleges and youth clubs to deliver sessions that actively encourage young people to feel comfortable talking about mental health.

A LITTLE BIT
MORE

These sessions are led by established artists who perform live music and spoken word about their own mental health experiences.

We aren’t talking about some patronising guy with an acoustic guitar and a creepy hand puppet lecturing you like a four-year-old, we’re talking lyricists, grime composers, dance producers and spoken word poets each with enviable experience and the talent to back it all up.

They’ll also host creative workshops in performance and lyric writing to help participants develop their artistic skills and discover new methods of expression. You get to experience a performance, learn from and work with an veteran musician, writer or poet, all for free - what’s not to like?

We’re also working hard to spread the word online. Our FundaMentals social media campaign is run by a group of creative young people and we want you to be part of it. Our Instagram (weRfundamentals) and Twitter feed will showcase content and suggestions from young people about maintaining positive mental health, alongside useful information for anyone that might need some support. We’re asking you to follow us, email us suggestions and ideas for content, send us your own content and generally spread the word. It’s your FundaMental right to be part of the movement and to make this campaign your own.
